Creating Competitive Advantage Through Thoughtleading Presented by Ken Lizotte CMC |
||
|
A "thoughtleader" communicates meaningful, innovative ideas about issues and trends in a targeted industry via "thoughtleader channels," such as publishing articles and books, speaking before professional groups, and spreading their original messages via the media and their own networks. Being recognized by your clients, prospects and peers as a thoughtleader creates a clear competitive advantage, separating the thoughtleading consultant from the competitive pack and boosting profitable relationships with existing clients as well as new ones. In effect, by making yourself "famous" within your target market, clients seek you out, wondering not if you can do the job for them but if they can afford you! Publishing is key and none other than Alan Weiss has called publishing "the greatest single marketing device I've ever encountered." Through publishing, credibility as a top expert skyrockets, especially when integrated with the consultant's strategic objectives. Just as important, thoughtleader actions must be leveraged so that your brand and reputation can grow and maximum business development can be the result. Thoughtleaders soon cease having to go looking for business, it comes looking for them, but only if follow-up to publishing and other actions is proactive. In this program, Ken will address all these issues as well as describe how his thoughtleader clients have made this strategy work for them. And the best news of all, Ken says, is it's relatively easy! He'll show us how to do it all in one enjoyable night.
