How do they evaluate their internship experience?

What professional skills did you learn during this internship that you feel will help you further in college and in your career?

Before this internship, I had no grasp on simple computer skills like using Microsoft outlook. I now feel comfortable using a multitude of computer programs, in addition to feeling comfortable in an office environment. This being my first position where I worked in an office, picking up small things in terms of etiquette and professionalism was huge for me. Overall this experience gave me the confidence to acquire and sharpen new skills in an office setting.

What career insights did you gain that you feel will help you be successful in your eventual career?

From the work that I’ve done, I’ve realized that I want to work as a part of a team, and have a position where I interact directly with customers. I’m not entirely sure what field I want to work in, but I think these guidelines will narrow the options down a little.

What did you NOT learn about that you wish you had?

It would have been nice to discover a passion I had for the business world besides interacting with people, but I think that will be accomplished as I dabble in different areas in the future.

What aspects of the internship did you enjoy?

I enjoyed the feeling of satisfaction after looking at finished products that I didn’t think I was capable of doing. I also enjoyed picking up new skills and building my confidence in those skills.

How could this internship be improved?

Overall, I got everything I expected out this internship, and I expected a lot. In terms of improving the experience, I would suggest spreading the workload out a little more. This is challenging request to satisfy, but I felt some weeks were had a more stressful workload than others, and a little more consistency would be improve the overall experience.

How could the room you worked in be made over to improve its working environment?

I thought the room I worked in was perfect for the internship.
