Julie Ellenberger

Julie Ellenberger

Summer 2008 Intern

Julie is an International Politics and Economics major from Concord, Massachusetts who will graduate from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT in 2009.

She pursues many of her academic and athletic passions at Middlebury, where she is a tour guide and plays on the women’s golf team. The team has participated in its first two NCAA tournaments in the past two years and has had a lot of fun in the process.

Julie also spent first semester of her junior year studying in Paris at Sciences Po; she cannot wait to return to France and would love to live, work, and/or go to school there in the future. While in Paris, she also tutored middle school children in English, which proved to be an extremely rewarding experience.

In addition, Julie was recently acknowledged in a book published this year and written by one of her former economics professors, Ann Mari May, entitled The ‘Woman Question’ and Higher Education: Perspectives on Gender and Knowledge Production in America. She helped Professor May with her research and with a conference put on at Middlebury College on women in higher education.

Upon graduation from Middlebury, she would love to pursue a career that combines her interests in social entrepreneurship, writing, politics, and economics and eventually attend graduate school.
