Ken Lizotte CMC

What separates the truly successful from all the rest?

How can success be high-level and constant?

How can a firm/individual win recognition as THE authority, bar none?

By practicing "thoughtleading," businesses can achieve an "expert's edge" that puts them on top to stay. In this session, Ken Lizotte, author of the new book "The Expert's Edge" (McGraw Hill) shows how becoming a "go-to authority" will dramatically increase a company or individual's stature, marketability, visibility... and revenue!

Many so-called tried-and-true selling techniques typically do NOT work for us consultants. Yet we blindly go forth year after year employing them anyway! This session offers "maverick" suggestions for selling our services, including responding SLOWLY to prospects, RATING system your prospects so you know their potential for hiring you, leaving fees OUT of your proposals, making it HARD for prospects to hire you and NOT trying to close your prospect, in person or ever. Such counterintuitive measures willl produce better matches for you and your services, longer-term client relationships, more realistic client expectations, and longer-lasting (and higher) revenues.

A "thoughtleader" communicates meaningful, innovative ideas about issues and trends in a targeted industry via "thoughtleader channels," such as publishing articles and books, speaking before professional groups, and spreading their original messages via the media and their own networks. Being recognized by your clients, prospects and peers as a thoughtleader creates a clear competitive advantage, separating the thoughtleading consultant from the competitive pack and boosting profitable relationships with existing clients as well as new ones. In effect, by making yourself "famous" within your target market, clients seek you out, wondering not if you can do the job for them but if they can afford you!

Beyond putting up a website, networking and the occasional cold call, four simple components will keep your clients both coming back and spreading great referral and word of mouth. In this session, you'll learn to build a loyal, enthusiastic "client community" that will upgrade revenue high and keep the competition far, far away.

The components include employing an email "alert system," buzz-based relationship-building, "thought leader channels" and website leverage strategies.

  • Beyond Reason: Questioning Assumptions of Everyday Life

"Question prevailing wisdom," presenter/author Ken Lizotte says, "whenever your own instinct and experience suggest otherwise." Based on Ken's new Beyond Reason, this program supports such "counter-wisdom" with scientific evidence, plowing through sacred cows and popular notions. Attendees learn how going "beyond reason" can solve problems and produce desirable results like productivity, profit and peace of mind. Your attendees' assumptions about life will never be the same! NOTE: Copies of Ken's book can be arranged for all participants.

Extend your visibility and deepen your credentials with a book or article about your special skills and knowledge.  Publishing promotes you and your consulting practice, organizes your thinking and frequently broadens your array of services.

What separates the leaders of business competition from all the rest? Those who practice “thought leadership” reach the top and stay there! In this program, Ken shows why becoming a thought leader delivers a competitive advantage second to none, and how you can join the ranks of such winners.

What separates successful jobseekers from all the rest? Those who position themselves as thoughtleaders get seen as "career stars," where leads come their way without asking, competition is scarce and resumes are an afterthought. In this session, Ken explains how job seekers can practice thoughtleading and gain competitive advantages not only during a current (or upcoming) job search but throughout one's entire career.

Successfully marketing a small consulting firm involves many proven essentials. This program covers key points and addresses individual questions/issues from participants.

Third-party "endorsements" from newspapers, magazines, TV and radio can reap huge rewards in new customers and business. What's more, such endorsements are free! In this presentation Ken examines the mysteries, magic and madness of resourcing the media as an enhancement to a company's marketing strategy. Participants learn how free publicity is achievedf and how they can get reporters to call them as "expert sources."

With commercial publishers focusing more and more on authors who are already mega-stars (well-know athletes and coaches, CEOs, political and military figures), opportunities for business experts are getting squeezed. This workshop will address the pros and cons of traditional publishing vs. publishing your book yourself.

Get published on the Net and advance your business development objectives. On-line publishing is fast gaining readerships and can extend your consulting visibility worldwide!

Frustrated over getting started on that article or book you’ve been wanting to write for some time now?  In this workshop learn to painlessly conceptualize, plan, outline and execute a writing project.

In this program, Ken shows how drawing upon one’s innate creativity, when implemented correctly, can enhance and advance professional, organizational and personal objectives.  This program explores how creativity in an individual or group can be triggered instantly, and destroyed just as fast.

Are you or your staff frazzled, overworked, stressed, coming apart? If so, this program can get everyone back into useful shape and on the road to life balance. Based on Ken's book Balancing Work and Family, the session's interactive format reveals effective tools for keeping life and work on course while pursuing worthwhile goals. NOTE: Copies of Ken's book can be arranged for all participants.
