Madeline Vellturo has only about four weeks of experience in the professional publishing business, but being sixteen years old, that is more experience than most people her age. She has, however, been published in Cricket Magazine where a poem of hers called “In My Room” appeared in 1999. She has taken advantage of many community service opportunities, both in and out of state, which have led her to become a responsible, organized, and friendly person. She is a high school student attending Concord Carlisle High School, who is interested in rhythmic sports such as gymnastics, dance, and diving, as well as reading and writing. She is interested in a career in writing or publishing, and also wishes to join the Peace Corps.
