When thinking about writing an article, don't waste time wondering what editors of trade journals are looking. The truth is editors readily admit they often don't know. Though editors do know the general sphere of interest their articles must cover, they lean heavily on contributors like you and me to help them shape specific content of articles themselves.

So next time you're racking your brain to come up with an article idea editors will approve, think instead about the value you are currently offering your clients. What services are they paying you for that address real-world problems and solutions? Develop articles around such real issues, real knowledge, and real solutions and your targeted editors, and their readers, will love you for it!
