October 2007
Dear Colleagues, Clients and Friends,
Most business consultants I meet seem to agree that publishing articles and books would be an effective way to increase their credibility – and business. But many admit they are not sure how to “get it done” or even if the results would be worth the effort.
While I’m always eager to explain how publishing works, it’s tough to do so in most networking forums. So, I’ve decided to offer periodic seminars and workshops on just how easy it is to get your articles and books into the marketplace -- and how to guarantee the outcome is worth the time and effort.
My first hands-on demo/workshop will be on the evening of October 24 at the Women in Consulting/ San Francisco gathering at the Galleria Hotel. WIC/SF meetings are open to all consultants and professionals interested in building their practices.
If you are interested (and are in the Bay Area), you are welcome to attend this session. (See specifics below.) If you are unable to attend, please let me know if you would like a summary of the information as well as the handouts.
Also, if you belong to other associations and/or groups who could benefit from a similar practical workshop, please forward the information to me so I can contact them about speaking to their groups. Hope to see you on the 24th!
Sincerely,
Patricia Coate, West Coast Manager

Ready to break into a new market? Want to stand out from the crowd of consultants in your current field? Stymied by how to position yourself as a leader in your niche?
Being published is the new business card. It’s a credibility tool that positions you as an expert and thought leader, and it’s easier than you imagine.
Think you don’t have special expertise? Think you can’t write? Don’t let those negative thoughts stand in the way of employing this vital, proven marketing technique. Anyone can do it with a bit of know-how and the will to take action.
Using a WIC consultant as a case example, Patricia Coate will lead you through the five steps to figuring out your special consulting niche, how to position your expertise, and the secrets to getting published in the publications that target your current and prospective clients and colleagues.
Increasing your credibility will help you reach your business goals, start doing more of the work you want and less of the work you don’t want. The results? More fun, increased revenues, less stress, and making the kind of difference you want to make.
Please join us for this highly interactive session. In addition to learning the five steps, you will begin work on your own checklist with the support of Patricia and other fantastic WIC-SF participants.
