Why "emerson" consulting group?
Back in the mid-19th Century, in Concord, Massachusetts, the great essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson went about the business of communicating great ideas in a variety of ways. Though best known as a writer, Emerson actually made his living as a public speaker. For Emerson, speaking coupled with writing were principal vehicles for getting his message out.
What may be most impressive about Emerson was that he seemed to have achieved all this without formulating it as part of a "marketing plan." Emerson simply understood, deep within, that here was a method for living a life: Find ways to communicate with others, serve up your ideas, absorb as well the ideas of others.
